Dr Vikramjit Kaur Zhawar joined PAU as Biochemist on 12.01.2009 after completing B. Sc. (Medical) from S. N. College, Banga affiliated to GNDU, Amritsar in 1993 and M. Sc. (Biochemistry) from PAU, Ludhiana in 1996 and Ph. D. (Biochemistry) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2000. She has worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Fels Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Biology, Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, USA (2000-2006). She worked as Lecturer in Biochemistry at DAV College Jalandhar (2006-2007) and Lecturer in Biochemistry at Guru Nanak Girls College, Ludhiana (2007-2009). She joined as Senior Biochemist on 24.01.2018 (till date). Her field of specialization is Plant Biochemistry. She has guided 15 M.Sc. students and 3 Ph.D. students as major advisor. She has published 45 research papers in national and international journals and 2 full-length papers in conferences and one book chapter. She has presented 23 papers in national and international conferences.
