Dr. Sonia Kaushal joined PAU as Assistant Nutritionist in the Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana on 11.01.2016 and worked there till 29.02.2016. After that, on 1.03.2026, she was transferred as Assistant Chemist in the Department of Chemistry, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana ( to-date). She completed her BSc (Medical) from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1996 and M Sc (Chemistry) from PAU in 1999. She did her PhD (Organic Chemistry) from PAU in 2001. Her field of specialization is Organic Chemistry. She has guided 17 MSc Chemistry and 2 PhD students as major advisor, published 38 research papers in national and international journals. She has presented 16 papers in national and international conferences. She has delivered 10 extension lectures in various training courses organized to guide farmers, farm women, AOs/ADOs/HODs/DESs and KVK scientists.
