Dr. Amanpreet Kaur joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 16.03.2020 after completing BSc. (Hons.) Home Science from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2007 and M.Sc. (Sociology) from PAU in 2009. She did her Ph.D (Sociology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2016. She had worked as Assistant Professor (Sociology) in Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda from August 2016 to May 2018 and then worked as Assistant Professor (Sociology) in GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurad (Ludhiana) from July 2018 to Feburary 2020. She has joined as Assistant Professor (Sociology) in PAU on 16.03.2020 (till date). She is also serving as Assistant Warden (Girls) since August, 2023 till date. Her field of specialization is Rural Sociology. She has completed one project funded by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana as PI in 2024. She has published 32 research papers in national and international journals, 2 book chapters, 5 extension articles and presented 10 papers in national and international conferences. She has guided one M.Sc. and one Ph.D student in the field of Sociology. She has experience of teaching various courses related to Sociology. She is a life time member of Indian Sociological Society and NWISA.
