Dr (Mrs) Parminder Kaur is working as Principal Agricultural Economist in the Agro Economic Research Centre, Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She did her graduation from Punjab University Chandigarh, M Sc (Agricultural Economics) and Ph. D (Agricultural Economics) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She joined this university in 1996 as an Assistant Economist (Marketing) and Professor (2013 till date). Her field of specialisation is Agricultural Economics and areas of interest are agricultural marketing, farm management and agricultural finance. She has published 11 research reports, 17 book chapters, 19 extension publications and 91 research papers in various journals of repute and presented papers in national and international conferences. She has taught various courses related to Agricultural Economics at UG as well as PG levels. Besides, she has also guided 13 M.Sc and 2 Ph.D students as major advisor. She served as a nodal officer in the scheme Concurrent Evaluation of ‘PM Kisan’ Scheme in Punjab, Ministry of Agriculture Farmers’ Welfare ,  Government of India, New Delhi. She is a member of various professional societies and has also held various offices in these. Presently, she is chairperson of the research committee of Department of Economics and Sociology and vice president of Indian Society for Agricultural Development and Policy.

• Received Best Paper Presentation award for securing Second Position in 2 Days International Conference held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra from July 10-11, 2023 organised by National Agriculture Development Cooperative Ltd., UT of J and K and Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria. 
•  Received 2nd Best Paper award during Dairy Industry Conference held at Gandhi Nagar , Gujarat during 16 -18 March, 2023for the research paper entitled Enhancing income and employment on marginal and small farms through dairying in Punjab published in Journal of Dairy Science.
•   Received Poster Presentation Award for securing third position at the Indian Ecological Society International Conference-2022 held at Shere Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, India from October 13-15, 2022.
