Dr. Priya Brata Bhoi joined Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) as an Agricultural Economist on 07th June 2021, after completing his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from PAU, Ludhiana, in 2017. He earned his B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 2010 and M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics) in 2012 from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar. Before joining PAU, he served as a Senior Research Analyst at the Centers for International Projects Trust under a USAID-funded project from 2017 to 2019. Subsequently, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, from 2019 to 2021. His areas of specialization include agricultural marketing and price analysis, production economics, and international trade. He also has expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, particularly in the forecasting of prices, modeling of international trade, and handling of complex datasets. Currently, he is working with the Agricultural Marketing Innovations, Research, and Intelligence Cell (AMIRIC), funded by the Government of Punjab. He has published 17 research papers in reputed national and international journals and authored two research reports. He is a life member of four professional societies in the field of Agricultural Economics.
