Brief Introduction

She is a Professor of Statistics at the Department of Mathematics, Statistics & Physics, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics from PAU in 1996, with a focus on repeated measurements and incomplete block designs. Beginning her career as Assistant Research Officer (1997–1998) from Economics & Statistical Organization Punjab, she joined PAU as Assistant Professor in 1998, promoted to Associate Professor in 2007, and has been a Professor since 2013. She has over 26 years of experience in teaching, research, and extension.  Her work has been recognized through awards including the Ph.D. Merit Fellowship and Best Poster Award. She has co-authored more than 70 research papers, 3 research reports and 2 book chapters, organized 3 trainings, and actively contributed to 4 interdisciplinary research projects since 2005, written three practical manuals for UG and PG students, guided more than 150 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students as member advisory committee, content creator for PG e-course in Design of Experiment course: STAT 564 (unit V) & course reviewer of undergraduate e-course : Statistical methods AG03 of NAHEP(ICAR), delivered  number of invited lectures in Trainings/Summer/Winter Schools etc. She was Nodal officer of SAS software in PAU for “Strengthening statistical computing for NARS”  in NAIP funded  IASRI project. She is life member of various professional societies, served as  Centre Superintendent   and Assistant Centre superintendent for 7 years to conduct external examination of COBSH. Presently she is chairperson of research and academic committee in the department and PI of research project entitled “Statistical evaluation of regional inequalities in socio-economic development among states of India” funded by DST (SERB -SURE).

    3. Strengthening statistical computing for NARS for installation, maintenance and upkeep of SAS software funded by NAIP in 2009 as Co-PI
