Dr. Sukhjinder Singh Sidhu joined Punjab Agricultural University as Assistant Professor (Statistics) in year 1988. He completed his B.Sc. (Non-Medical) from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1985, M.Sc. in Statistics (1987) and Ph.D. (2001) from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. With a professional journey spanning over three decades at PAU, he has served as Assistant Professor (1988–2001), Associate Professor (2001–2009), and currently holds the position of Professor since 2009. Dr. Sidhu’s research interests lie in the estimation of multi-characteristics, development of randomized response devices, and plant disease modeling. He has contributed to several research projects involving crop yield modeling, remote sensing for forecasting agricultural production, and GIS-based weed mapping. His scholarly work includes notable publications in international journals on sensitive survey techniques and agricultural estimations.
