Brief Introduction

Dr. Pratibha Vyas joined PAU as Assistant Professor (Microbiology) on 04.09.20018 after completing BSc (Medical) in 2000 and MSc (Microbiology) in 2002 from CSK HPKV, Palampur. She did her PhD (Microbiology) from CSIR-IHBT Palampur in 2011. She has worked with Lovely Professional University as Assistant Professor from 2015-2018 and with CSIR-IHBT, Palampur as Research Associate from 2013-2014. She is also having the additional charge of Assistant Warden Girls Hostel 16 from 2.9.2019 to date. Her field of specialization is Soil Microbiology. She has completed one testing project funded by industry and one project funded by PAU as seed grant as Co-PI. She has guided 9 MSc and one PhD as major advisor, published 38 research papers in national and international journals and presented 19 papers in national and international conferences. She has delivered 40 lectures to guide farmers in biofertilizer production technology. Presently she is the Co-chairperson of the teaching committee of Department of Microbiology. She is also a Lifetime member of Association of Microbiologists of India, Microbiologists Society of India and Indian Science Congress.
