Brief Introduction

Dr Ranjit Singh has done BSc (Horticulture) from ANGRAU, Hyderabad; M.Sc. and Ph.D. Horticulture (Floriculture and landscaping) from PAU, Ludhiana.  He joined as Assistant Floriculturist 12 February, 2009 in the Department Floriculture and Landscaping and is presently working as Assistant Professor (Floriculture and Landscaping) in the Department of Floriculture and Landscaping. He has guided 3 Ph.D. and 8 M.Sc. students and guiding 1 Ph.D. students and 2 M.Sc. students as Major advisor. He has developed 8 production technologies and  was associated in the  release of one tuberose variety in the state . He has handled one adhoc  project “Technology for production of Rscus Hypophyllum– aflorist green  through environmental interventions under Indian conditions”  Funded by UGC  asPI.. He has authored 36 research articles, 1 book, 10 book chapters, 3 practical manuals, 22 extension articles and delivered 15 radio/TV talks & 200 extension lectures in different training programmes/ workshops and he is actively handling University landscape responsibilities.
