Dr. Amrinder Kaur joined PAU as Assistant Plant Pathologist on 22.02.2011 after completing her B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2007 and M.Sc. in Plant Pathology from College of Agriculture, PAU, Ludhiana in 2010. She did her Ph.D (Plant Pathology) from Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, PAU, Ludhiana in 2020 as In-Service candidate. During her work period of last fourteen years, she has taught many UG and PG courses of Plant Pathology, handled various research projects (competitive and adhoc as Co-PI) and acted as reviewer of many manuscripts of NAAS rated journals. She has guided two M.Sc. students as major advisor and acted as a member of advisory committee of various M.Sc. and Ph D students. She has also attended a short course on integrated pest management and food safety in 2016 at Centre for Development and Innovation, Wageningen, Netherlands. She has published more than 40 research papers of national and international repute. She is also involved in a number of extension activities viz., participation in farmers training camp at district level, Kisan Melas and delivering of Radio, TV talks and lectures at training camp to the farmers and has published 19 popular articles. Presently she is involved in developing eco-friendly management of important diseases of fruit crops and post-harvest rots and is also actively involved in the survey and surveillance programmes for different fruit orchards of Punjab.

- Pyramiding multiple resistance genes (Ty, Ph and Mi) in high yielding varieties of tomato through MAS IN 2017 as Co-PI.
