Brief Introduction

Dr. Jaspal Singh is working as Professor in Civil Engineering since November 2009. He discharged the duties of Chief Engineer of PAU for seven years and is presently discharging the duties of Chief Engineer of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. He holds a B. Tech (Civil Engineering with Distinction) from NIT, Surathkal (Karnataka), M.Tech. in Structural Engineering and M.E. in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering and Ph.D. (CE) from PAU. A recipient of the merit certificate at Master’s level, he had the proud privilege to be selected by Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial in recognition of his academic excellence (First in the University) at Postgraduate level. He was felicitated with a merit scholarship throughout his studies on account of Academic Brilliance. Dr. Jaspal Singh has published about 160 research papers in various Journals, Proceedings of Conferences, Seminars etc. and has attended more than a dozen short-term courses. He has guided a number of postgraduate students as Major advisor. He has evaluated about four dozen dissertations of postgraduate students. He is a Life Member of 2 International Societies and 10 National Societies. He has been associated with many consultancy projects undertaken by the Civil Engineering Department.
