Dr. Ritesh Jain joined Civil Engineering Department at PAU Ludhiana in September 30, 1999. He has been working in the area of hydrology and water resources engineering by joining as Assistant Professor and then being promoted to the post of Associate Professor in 2012. He earned specialization in B Tech in the field of Environmental Engineering, Masters in the hydrology and water resources engineering and Ph. D. in Geo-environmental engineering. He received PAU merit Scholarship during M Tech programme. He is a member of five technical societies and executive member of ISTE (PAU Ludhiana chapter) since 2021. He has undergone training at UNESCO-Delft during April 2016. He has published more than 60 research papers in journal of repute and International conferences besides publishing two teaching manuals, 4 book chapters. Furthermore, he actively participates as a reviewer for various Scopus indexed, Elsevier indexed conferences /journals.   Apart from teaching UG and PG courses, he has been handling extension projects as PI of MNRE sponsored scheme “Biogas Development and training Centre (BDTC) under the new National Biogas and Organic Manure Programme (NNBOMP)”. Under this scheme, training of Biogas Turnkey workers/ Biogas entrepreneurs/ staff involved in popularization of biogas in rural areas for setting up biogas plants and providing post installation servicing of plants as self-employed workers, is undertaken.
