Brief Introduction

Dr. Baldev Dogra joined PAU as Assistant Research Engineer on 06.03.1997 after completing B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering from CCS HAU Hisar in 1993 and M. Tech. Agricultural Engineering (Farm Power and Machinery) from PAU in 1996. He completed Ph. D. (Farm Power Machinery) from PAU Ludhiana 2005. He has worked with Escorts Limited from 1996-1997. He joined as Research Engineer on 06.03.2006 and Senior Research Engineer on 06.03.2012. He served as Dean, COAE&T, CCS HAU from 2022-2024 (On deputation), His field of specialization is Farm Power and Machinery, He has completed two Adhoc Research Projects funded by DST as PI, One by DOAC as Co-PI/ PI and One by RDF as PI. He has guided 18 B. Tech., five M. Tech and two Ph. D students as major advisor, published 30 research papers in national and international journals and presented 6 papers in national/ international conferences. He has delivered 21 lectures to guide farmers on usage of Farm Machinery. Presently he is the chairperson of the teaching subcommittee of Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. He is life member of ISAE and ISTE.

  1. Development, evaluation and adoption of farm machines for oilseed and pulse crops, in 2010 as PI, Funded by RDF.
  2. Design and Development of Tractor Mounted Inter-Row Rotary Cultivator for Wide Row Crops, funded by DST in 2017 as PI
  3. Developing Chickpea cultivars suited to Mechanical Harvesting and Tolerant to Herbicides Component B (Farm Machinery), in 2017 as Co-PI/ PI.
  4. Design and Development of Tractor operated Spading Machine, funded by DST in 2020 as PI
