Brief Introduction

Er. Tarandeep Singh received B.Tech Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University (Main Campus), Amritsar in 2013. He completed his M.Tech (Electronics Engineering) from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh in 2016. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana from 2017-2020. Currently, he is working as Scientist (Instrumentation) in Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. His research areas include design, development and evaluation of sensor based solutions for Smart & Conservative Agriculture. As Co-PI, he has worked on various projects sponsored by AICRP on FIM, AICRP on ESA, World Bank-supported ICAR-NAHEP-CAAST and TIET-TAU-PAU collaborative Digital Village Project. Er. Singh has to his credit 16 research publications, 2 extension articles and 1 research recommendation included in ‘Packages of Practices’ of PAU. He is also a DGCA certified Drone Instructor.

  2. Development and evaluation of robotic manipulator for wash root type paddy nursery planting under AICRP on FIM.
  3. Development of sensor based system to conduct carbon sequestration studies in straw managed fields under AICRP on FIM.
  4. Measurement of drift during the use of Drone/UAV for spraying under AICRP on FIM
  5. AR/VR facility for Tractor Skill Development under NAHEP-Component 2
