Brief Introduction

Dr. Jugraj Singh Marok is a Principal Scientist specializing in Irrigation Engineering at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. With over two decades of professional experience, he has held key positions including Associate Director (Training) and Extension Specialist. Dr. Marok is actively engaged in research on surface and groundwater management, micro irrigation, and the application of AI and IoT in water systems. He is currently leading projects on the development of irrigation and drainage systems and serves as a key contributor to the Precision Farming Development Centre. His academic background includes B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. degrees from PAU. He has authored several research papers, including works on groundwater quality, computer-aided water resource management, and women’s empowerment through self-help groups. Dr. Marok is a recipient of the prestigious Nanaji Deshmukh ICAR Award (2019) for outstanding interdisciplinary research.
