Dr. Krishan Kumar Sharma joined PAU at Regional Research Station, Ballowal Saunkhri as Plant Pathologist on 28.12.2015 and Department of Plant Pathology, PAU, Ludhiana on 20.03.2025. He completed BSc from HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand in 2002, MSc (Ag)-Plant Pathology in 2005 and PhD-Plant Pathology in 2010 from G.B. Pant University of Agric. & Tech., Pantnagar (Uttarakhand). His field of specialization is fungal pathology and Biocontrol. Previously, he worked as Assistant Professor (Plant pathology) at Doon P.G. College of Agricultural Science and Technology, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Research Associate at Vivekanand Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora (Uttarakhand) and Development Officer-North in a MNC, Chemtura Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. He has guided 1 M.Sc. student and currently he is guiding 1 M.Sc. student as major advisor. He has published more than 30 research & review papers in reputed journals, 01 edited book, 07 practical e-manuals, 14 book chapters (international & national publishers), 3 extension folders and >50 extension articles. In addition, he is recipient of young scientist awards, best poster awards etc. for his research contributions by reputed societies. Also, he served as a member of   the editorial board of American Journal of Agriculture and Forestry (AJAF), Archives of Agriculture and Environmental Science and reviewer for reputed journals.
