Completed B Sc Agril. (Hons.) in 1994, M Sc (Soil Science) in 1996 and Ph D (Soil Science) in 2001 from Punjab Agricultural University and then joined as District Extension Specialist (Soil Science) at FASS, Gurdaspur on 26th March, 2002. Worked as Asstt. Prof. (Soil Science) in KVK Ropar and Jalandhar during 2005 and 2007, respectively. In December, 2007 joined as Asstt. Soil Physicist in the Department of Soils, PAU. Presently working as Principal Soil Physicist in Department of Soil Science, PAU since January 2018. Handled 11 projects funded by different agencies like Ministry of Water Resources, GOI, DST, ICAR, MSSRF, Chennai. Published more than 225 research papers, extension articles, book chapters and bulletins. Recognized by the Ohio State University Columbus, USA during an advanced training programme in 2011. Awarded Merit Scholarship during UG and PG degree programmes. Presently working on different tillage, residue, nutrient and crop establishment options in relation to water management in field and vegetable crops.
