Dr Prerna Kapila joined as Scientist, All India Coordinated Research Project on Women in Agriculture on 5th July, 2024. She has served as Subject Matter Specialist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Amritsar and Ludhiana and has also worked as Extension Scientist with Skill Development Centre at Punjab Agricultural University.

She did her Masters in Apparel and Textile Science from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in the year 1991 and Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2014. From 1992 to 2010, she worked with the Apparel industry in various capacities of merchandise and also worked as Textile Expert with a World Bank funded project on Development of Business Development Services in Knitwear Cluster of Ludhiana.
