Notable awards are presented during the March Mela at PAU Ludhiana, such as (i) the Chief Minister’s Award with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 each for excellence in horticulture and agriculture, (ii) Sardarni Parkash Kaur Sra Memorial Award provides Rs. 5,000 to deserving candidates, and (iii) CRI Pump Award offers a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each for achievements in water management, organic farming, and mechanization. (iv) Jathedar Guraditta Singh Mahal Memorial Award with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, a citation, and a plaque for a self-cultivating, innovative and progressive farmer/ farm-women in the field of horticulture, to be awarded at Kisan Mela at Bathinda.   

Other September Mela Awards include: (i) Dalip Singh Dhaliwal Memorial Award with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a citation, and a plaque for an exemplary self-cultivating farmer of field crops; (ii) Parwasi Bharti Award with cash prize of Rs. 8,000, a citation, and a plaque for self-cultivating farmers in diversified farming systems; (iii) Ujagar Singh Dhaliwal Memorial Prize for outstanding vegetable growers in both summer and winter, awarding Rs. 3,100 along with a citation and a plaque; (iv) Surjit Singh Dhillon Award for small farmers with land holdings of upto 5 acres, offering a cash prize of Rs. 5,000; (v) Sardarni Jagbir Kaur Grewal Memorial Innovative Woman Farmer Award, for women in agriculture, offers Rs. 3,100; (vi) Bhai Babu Singh Brar Best Pond Award, celebrating exceptional pond management, presents a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 for a pond measuring 2 kanal and 4 feet deep.

Adding to the event’s charm, cultural programmes featuring lively performances by Punjabi folk artists infuse a festive spirit, making the occasion both informative and memorable.
