Brief Introduction

Dr. Rupinder Kaur has worked as Course Director/Coordinator of farmers, farm women, and in-service training courses. She has conducted 531 short term and vocational  trainings, 45 long term trainings, 172 in-service extension personnel trainings, 15 institutional trainings for Probationary  Officers (IAS/PCS/Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars/ Patwaris) and 105 sponsored trainings courses for farmers and farm women. As incharge of PAU Kisan Club (Ladies Wing), she has conducted 208 monthly training camps for members of PAU Kisan Club (Ladies Wing) and 62 training camps for members of Progressive Bee Keepers Association. She has delivered 38 TV talks, 11 radio talks, 944 extension lectures, 25 invitation lectures, and 115 demonstrations. She has motivated more than 1500 new members to join PAU Kisan Club and 791 farmers and farm women motivated by her have started their enterprises.

She has published 22 extension bulletins/training manuals, 2 folders, 24 research papers, 3 book chapters, 151 extension articles and  compiled and edited 145 sikhlainamas. She has been a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Agricultural Development and Policy. Currently she is editor of the PAU Kisan Club Annual Magazine and managing editor of PAU Annual Magazine and she has taught 17 undergraduate courses, 24 Post graduate courses, 9 B.Ed. courses, and 39 young farmer courses, guided 8 M.Sc. and 4 Ph.D. students as major advisor, 3 UG groups and has been a member of the advisory committee of 10 M.Sc. and 2 Ph.D. students, and nominee of Dean PGS for 26 M.Sc. and 9 Ph.D. students.

  1. Promotion and Pilot Production of Low Cost Sanitary Napkins using Cotton Knitwear Waste in Punjab funded by DST, Govt of India with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST) as Co PI in 2011
  2. Organization of IPM scouts as PAU Kheti Doots for transfer of technology in agriculture under Navaj Bai Ratan Tata Trust as Co PI in 2013
