In the recent years during the Annual Alumni meetings of the College of Agriculture, the pass out batches of the seventies have started celebrating the Golden Jubilee of their graduation.On similar lines the alumni of pass outs of
1976 have planned for the celebrations in the next Alumni Meet to be held on 11th February 2026.This will be another milestone in the history of the College of Agriculture as they are the graduates of the First batch which was awarded B.Sc (Agri) Hons degrees. It was decided that to commemorate the occasion the students excelling in Academics and Sports be honoured . Also it will be an important event to bring out a Souvenir with biodata and photographs of the batch. Accordingly two members of the Core Committee Mr. Raminder Singh,IAS ( Former Secretary, Industry & Commerce, Government of Punjab and also served as Registrar,PAU)along with Dr. D S Cheema, (Former Dean,CoA and presently Member Board of Management,PAU) met Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. S. S Johal, (Former Chancellor, Central University,Bathinda,Former Vice- Chancellor Punjabi University and PAU)Dr. K.S. Aulakh, Former Vice- Chancellor, PAU and Dr. S. S. Gosal, Vice Chancellor PAU.
On behalf of the batch they have invited these distinguished alumni to participate in the celebrations and also contribute messages for the Souvenir. Their words of encouragement have further motivated us to celebrate this historic occasion.
