PAU–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jalandhar successfully conducted its Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting on 28.01.2026, which was chaired by Dr. M. S. Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, and co-chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Additional Director of Research (Agricultural Engineering). The meeting was graced by the esteemed presence of the Dr Jaswinder Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jalandhar, along with other distinguished members.
During the meeting, KVK Jalandhar presented the Action Taken Report, Progress Report for the year 2025–26, and the Proposed Action Plan for 2026–27. The committee members actively participated in the discussions and provided valuable feedback and constructive suggestions to strengthen the proposed action plan, ensuring improved efficiency, relevance, and impact of KVK activities.
After the meeting, the dignitaries visited various demonstration and training units of the KVK, including the Integrated Farming System (IFS) Model, Fruit Nutrition Garden, Kitchen Garden, Beekeeping Unit, and Crop Cafeteria. The members appreciated the efforts of KVK Jalandhar in promoting agricultural innovations and farmer-centric technologies and offered insightful recommendations to further enhance its extension programmes and outreach activities.
