Interaction with South Korean Delegation Followed by Quiz and Debate Competition at COAET, PAU Ludhiana

The Student Chapter under the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE) – Punjab Chapter successfully organized an interaction session with Korean Delegation followed by a Quiz and Debate Competition for undergraduate students on 30th January 2026 at Jacob Hall.

The program was conducted under the esteemed guidance and presence of the Chief Patron cum Dean COAET Dr Manjeet Singh and the leadership of Dr. Satish Kumar Gupta, Chairman, ISAE Punjab Chapter, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Activity Coordinator, and Dr. Saurabh Ratra Communication Coordinator.

Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers and Korean Society of Agricultural Machinery has recently signed an MOU professional and academic exchange in which it’s discussed to send a team of students and faculty to South Korean University and vice versa as well. Dean of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr Manjeet Singh showcased the technologies and facilities of the College by taking the Korean delegation around NABL accredited Pump testing facility, Dr SR Research Hall, Agro Processing Complex and advanced labs.

A key highlight of the event was the interactive session with high powered South Korean delegation led by Prof. Sun Ok Chung, which provided students with valuable exposure to global perspectives in agricultural engineering and encouraged cross-cultural exchange and motivated students to explore international opportunities in academics and innovation.

The quiz competition witnessed healthy competition, with Mr. Madhav Laroyia, Mr. Pushpraj Patel, and Ms. Aadhya Khurana emerging as winners for their exceptional performance. Further, the debate competition on the topic Traditional identity versus modern branding viz. Agricultural Engineering vs Agricultural and Bio Engineering offered a platform for students to express their views on this very important and relevant topic. Ms. Anmolpreet Kaur and Ms. Sharanjeet Kaur secured top positions for the motion, while Ms. Khushnoor Kaur and Ms. Payal Gupta were declared winners against the motion, influencing the jury with their logical arguments, confidence, and clarity of expression. The winners were awarded cash prize along with the certificates.

The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished jury comprising of prominent alumni entrepreneur and the senior-most faculty members of the college who appreciated the high standard of participation and encouraged students to actively engage in such activities.
