The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), SBS Nagar, under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, organized a comprehensive exhibition during the ‘Punjab Sakhi Shakti Mela’ held today at the ITI College grounds.
The event, organized by the District Administration (DC Office), served as a vibrant platform to celebrate and empower rural women and self-help groups (SHGs) across the region. All the trainees trained by KVK SBS Nagar expedite their skills and showcased their ready products (like beej amrit, bharam astra sprays, jute bags, pickles, squashs, murabbas, chuntneys, gur, shakkar, processed pulses, oil and millets) at their different stalls.
The KVK stall was a focal point of the exhibition, drawing significant attention for its display of value-added products. Mrs. Avneet Kaur (PCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), SBS Nagar, visited the stall to interact with KVK experts.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਖੋਜ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ-ਅਟਾਰੀ ਜ਼ੋਨ-1 ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਲੰਗੜੋਆ, ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਨੇ ਮਿਤੀ 5-6.2.2026 ਨੂੰ ਆਈ ਟੀ ਆਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ‘ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਖੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮੇਲੇ’ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ (ਡੀ ਸੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ, ਖੇਤਰ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਵਜੋ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਲੰਗੜੋਆ, ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਇੱਕ ਖਿੱਚ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੱੁਲ ਵਰਧਕ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਮਹਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਵੈ-ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਲੈ ਕੇੇ ਜੋ ਉਤਪਾਦ ਬਣਾਉਣੇ ਸਿੱਖੇ, ਉਨਾਂ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਪਣਾ ਕੇ ਸਟਾਲ ਲਗਾਏ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ (ਡੀ ਸੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ) ਅਤੇ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਕੇ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਉਪਲਬੱਧੀ ਵਜੋ, ਇਸ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਪੀ ਸੀ ਐੱਸ), ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਏ ਡੀ ਸੀ) ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ, ਨੇ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਕੇ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਟਾਲ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
