Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hoshiarpur working under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and ICAR-ATARI, Zone-I organized Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting at its campus on 6-2-2026 under the chairmanship of Dr. Makhan Singh Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana. The meeting was also graced by Dr. Manmohanjit Singh, Dean, College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhari, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Dr. Gurjit Singh Mangat, Additional Director of Research, PAU, Ludhiana.
On this occasion, Dr Jagdish Singh, Deputy Director (Horticulture), Hoshiarpur, Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Deputy Director (Training), KVK, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Dr. Sumanjit Kaur, Incharge, MSR Fruit Research Station, Gangian, Dr. Charanjit Kaur, Principal Extension Scientist (Agronomy), Farm Advisory Service Centre, Hoshiarpur, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Senior Extension Specialist (Entomology), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Una (Himachal Pradesh), Dr. Harmandeep Singh, Agriculture Officer, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Hoshiarpur, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Aulakh, Vegetable Scientist, Vegetable Research Station, Khanoura, Sh. Surjit Singh, village Chaggran, Member, Extension Council, PAU, Ludhiana, officials from allied line departments, progressive farmers/farmwomen members of the committee from the district, office bearers of Lambran Kangri Multipurpose Cooperative Service Society, Lambran & Innovative Farmers Association (Regd.), Hoshiarpur and KVK Hoshiarpur scientists also participated in the meeting.
After extending a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and SAC members, Dr Maninder Singh Bons, Associate Director (Training), PAU-KVK, Hoshiarpur presented the action taken report on the proceedings of last meeting of Scientific Advisory Committee, annual progress report of activities undertaken by KVK during last year and action plan for the activities to be conducted by KVK during 2026-27.
In his presidential remarks, Dr. Makhan Singh Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana, stressed upon the need to promote value addition and processing of agricultural produce for better economic returns. He also praised the strong collaboration of KVK with the allied departments at district level in joint implementation of farmer welfare activities and campaigns. He highlighted the importance of SAC meeting for playing an important role in planning out the working of KVK for serving the farming community of the area in a better way and sought suggestions from the members. Dr. Bhullar also laid stress on the importance of proper training & pruning of fruit plants and promotion of low tunnel technology for vegetable cultivation among farmers of the area.
Dr. Gurjit Singh Mangat, Additional Director of Research, PAU, Ludhiana asked the extension staff to continue regular monitoring and surveillance of crops for timely detection of insect pests & diseases and for providing timely feedback for research system. He also applauded the efforts of KVK towards reaching the unreached villages for spread of latest agricultural technologies for the welfare of farmers of remote areas.
All the SAC members had fruitful discussion and gave their valuable suggestions for effective working of KVK.
Extension literature on natural farming and report on crop residue management project were released by the dignitaries and they also visited demonstrations units at KVK farm.
Dr. Manmohanjit Singh, Dean, College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhari, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar praised the KVK scientists for their good work done for the betterment of farming community. He emphasized on continuous handholding of rural youth in entrepreneurship development and for further promotion of integrated farming system model in the kandi area. In the end, Dr. Manmohanjit proposed a formal vote of thanks to the guests, SAC members and progressive farmers/farmwomen members.

ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ.-ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ.-ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਬਾਹੋਵਾਲ,ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਮਿਤੀ 6-2-2026 ਨੂੰ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ।ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਡਾ. ਮੱਖਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ, ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਪਸਾਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਪੰਜਾਬਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ।ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਡਾ.ਮਨਮੋਹਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡੀਨ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬੱਲੋਵਾਲ ਸੌਂਖੜੀ, ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ.ਗੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਂਗਟ, ਵਧੀਕ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਖੋਜ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤਕੀਤੀ।ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ, ਉਪਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ, ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਡਾ. ਪ੍ਰਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਉਪ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ (ਸਿਖਲਾਈ),ਕ੍ਰਿਸੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਇੰਚਾਰਜ, ਐਮ. ਐਸ.ਰੰਧਾਵਾ ਫਲ ਖੋਜ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਗੰਗੀਆਂ, ਡਾ. ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪਸਾਰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ (ਫਸਲ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ),ਫਾਰਮ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਪਸਾਰ ਮਾਹਿਰ (ਕੀਟਵਿਗਿਆਨ), ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਊਨਾ, ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਡਾ. ਹਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀਅਫਸਰ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਔਲਖ, ਸਬਜੀਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ, ਸਬਜੀ ਖੋਜ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਖਨੌੜਾ, ਸ. ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਿੰਡ ਚੱਗਰਾਂ, ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਪਸਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ,ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ., ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ, ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਅਗਾਂਹਵਧੂਕਿਸਾਨ/ਕਿਸਾਨ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਲਾਂਬੜਾ ਕਾਂਗੜੀ ਬਹੁਮੰਤਵੀ ਸਹਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀ, ਲਾਂਬੜਾ ਤੇਇੰਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਫਾਰਮਰਸਜ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ (ਰਜਿ.), ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੁਆਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘਬੌਂਸ, ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ (ਸਿਖਲਾਈ), ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।ਡਾ. ਬੌਂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਤੇਸਾਲ 2026-27 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਬਾਬਤ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਆਪਣੇਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡਾ. ਮੱਖਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ, ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਪਸਾਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ ਨੂੰਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ।ਡਾ. ਭੁੱਲਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਅਤੇ ਜਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਧੀਆਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਕਰਣ ਬਾਬਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।ਡਾ. ਭੁੱਲਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੀਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਂਟ-ਛਾਂਟ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਬਜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਅਪਨਾਉਣ ਬਾਬਤ ਜੋਰਦਿੱਤਾ।ਡਾ.ਗੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਂਗਟ, ਵਧੀਕ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਖੋਜ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇਪਸਾਰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਫਸਲਾਂਦੇ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਬਾਰੇਸਮਾਂ-ਬੱਧ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।ਡਾ. ਮਾਂਗਟ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵੱਲ਼ੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਅਧੀਨ ਦੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਮਖੇਤੀ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਸਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ, ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਾਂਹਵਧੂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ/ਕਿਸਾਨ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੌਂ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਫਾਰਮ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਡਾ. ਮਨਮੋਹਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡੀਨ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਾਲਜ,ਬੱਲੋਵਾਲ ਸੌਂਖੜੀ, ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਹਤਰੀਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹਿਆ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਕਿੱਤਾ ਸ੍ਰਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਢੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਖੇਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਮਾਡਲ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਮਨਮੋਹਨਜੀਤ ਨੇ ਇਸਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ, ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਾਂਹਵਧੂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ/ਕਿਸਾਨਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।
