Professional Bodies
Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE) & Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) conduct various professional and student activities to have continuous liaison with the industry, researchers and other technocrats. Student’s seminars, contests & technical paper presentations are the main activities of these professional bodies to groom the students to grow in their professional life. Guest lectures are also arranged for the benefit of the students.
Student’s activities
Various club activities like National Service Scheme (NSS), National Sports Organization (NSO), Dance, Drama and Music, Speaker’s Forum, Hiking & Tracking, Sports etc. are also available in the university for the students, faculty and staff members. Well-equipped infrastructure facilities like auditoriums, open air theatre, hockey astroturf, football ground, cricket ground, table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis, basketball facilities, cycling velodrome, swimming pool etc. are available for these activities.
Geoponos-Student’s Professional Body
GEOPONOS, a professional body was formed by the students of the College in the year 2014. Every year on 15th September which is celebrated as Engineers Day, the committee launches the college magazine named “GEOPONOS” featuring the technical developments in the field of Agriculture along with the creative division showcasing the talent of agrineers of our college.
Technical Club COAETian Innovators
Students technical club by the name of COAETian Innovators is established in the College to participate in National Level Technical competitions related to agricultural and emerging technologies such as TIFAN (Technology Innovation Forum for Agricultural Nurturing), SUPRA, BAJA organised by Society of Automotive Engineers- INDIA, SIEP E-Bike Challenge, Future Business Sharks organised by TIE, ISAE Calendar CONCEPTATHON, etc. COAETian Innovators helps to provide innovative solutions to the problems faced in field of agriculture and new emerging technologies. COAETian Innovators has brought laurels to the Punjab Agricultural University by securing All India Rank-2 in TIFAN 2022, All India Rank-1 in TIFAN 2023, All India Rank-1 in TIFAN 2024, All India Rank-3 in TIFAN 2025 at national level competition.
Liaison with Industry and Organization
The College, has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), Chennai, and Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, to promote innovation in agricultural research and education. Under the PAU-TAFE collaboration, a Learning Centre for Advanced Farm Machinery has been established at the Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. Additionally, the MoU with BITS Pilani aims to facilitate joint research, training, and technology development in precision agriculture, data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and geospatial science. These partnerships are expected to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to the modernization and sustainability of Indian agriculture through cutting-edge technologies and academic-industry linkages.
