- To strengthen UG and PG teaching programs by integrating emerging technologies and sustainable engineering solutions to address future challenges in processing and food engineering.
- To conduct advanced, need-based and application-oriented research in cleaning, grading, drying, packaging, handling, and storage of agricultural produce and by-products to serve the evolving needs of farmers, food industries, and society.
- To develop post-harvest machinery/technologies/processing protocols for value addition and shelf-life enhancement of agricultural commodities
- To develop food quality monitoring systems using sensors, Internet of Things (IoT), machine vision, and real-time data analytics.
- To strengthen linkages with farmers, entrepreneurs, agro-industries, and research institutions through technology transfer, field demonstrations, incubation support, and need-based consultancy to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in agro-processing.
