Brief Introduction

Dr. Raj Kumar Pal is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Climate Change & Agricultural Meteorology at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana since October 06, 2021, actively engaged in UG and PG teaching. He completed his M.Sc. (2007) from ANDUAT, Ayodhya with the VC’s Gold Medal and Ph.D. (2010) from GBPUAT, Pantnagar with ICAR-SRF and the Dr. P.D. Mistry Award for best Ph.D. thesis. Previously, he worked as Assistant Agrometeorologist at RRS, Bathinda under the GKMS scheme and also served as Sports Incharge since November 15, 2013. Dr. Pal has published over 85 research papers, along with one monograph, one national seminar proceedings book, 13 book chapters, 8 popular articles, 1 bulletin, and 2 folders. He has participated in 11 international (within India) and 18 national seminars, symposiums, and workshops. He has guided 7 M.Sc. and 1 Ph.D. student as major advisor. Additionally, he has organized 6 Farmers’ Awareness Programmes (FAPs), one training session, delivered 9 invited lectures, and 4 radio talks.
