Brief Introduction

Dr Kousik Mandal joined Punjab Agricultural University as Assistant Residue Analyst on 10.07.2014 after completing B. Sc. (Ag.) Honours from Visva-Bharati in 2006 and M. Sc (Entomology) from Punjab Agricultural University in 2008. He did his Ph. D. (Entomology) from Punjab Agricultural University in 2012. He is working in All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues and Contaminants. He is also associated with “Monitoring of Pesticide Residues at National Level”. He has completed 125 industry sponsored research trials as Co-PI. He has published two book chapters, two review papers, seventy one research papers in International journals and sixteen research papers in National journals. He has twelve recommendations on waiting periods to his credit. He has guided three M.Sc. students. He has delivered 37 lectures and organized 16 one day training programmes on safe use of pesticides. He was member of External Examination Committee in the College of Agriculture. He has acted as Quality manager for NABL accreditation of the laboratory.
