Dr Sudhendu Sharma joined PAU as Assistant Professor of Plant Protection on 18.07.2005 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehgarh Sahib. He did his B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 1996; M.Sc. (Entomology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 1999. He did his Ph.D. (Entomology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2014. He joined as Senior Entomologist on 20.7.18 (till date). His field of specialization is Biological control of insect pests. He has published 54 research papers in national and international journals, 38 abstracts in national conferences/workshops, 49 extension articles/booklets and three book chapters. He has conducted 38 farmers’ training camps, 23 surveys and participated in 24 field days. Out of research work, he has to his credit 22 recommendations in PAU Package of Practices. He has guided 2 M.Sc. students. He has delivered 88 lectures and 2 radio talks. He has been involved as collaborator in 5 research projects. He is the member of 3 scientific societies.
