Brief Introduction

Dr Lavleesh Garg joined as Extension Scientist, Department of Extension Education on 29th May, 2014. He has served as Assistant Professor (Extension Education) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ferozepur from (March 17, 2009 to May 28, 2014) and Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He did his Masters in Extension Education in the year 2001 and Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2003. He is the NCC in-charge at University level since August 2015 for College of Agriculture In addition to this he has been president of shooting at college level and member at university level, also member of hiking and tracking committee at university level.

Professional Accomplishment: 

He has taught 72 UG and PG courses. He has guided 8 M.Sc and and 1 PhD students as major advisor, acted as committee member and nominee of Dean PGS of 36 M.Sc and 16 Ph. D students. He has published 53 research papers in national and international journals and presented more than 25 papers in national and international conferences. He has delivered 470 lectures to guide farmers and entrepreneurs. He has conducted 217 short term trainings, 67 Vocational trainings, 16 In-service trainings, 48 sponsored trainings, 16 skill development trainings, campaign 63, 17 Radio talk and 18 TV talk, 16 ART, 37 Field days, more than 1500 FLDs, 37 Surveys, 102 method demonstration, 45 exhibitions and has written 28 Extension articles.

NCC In-charge: 

Guided NCC cadets to score ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate with 100% results, 82 NCC cadets got ‘C’ certificate and ‘128’got ‘B’ certificate August, 2015 onwards.

Guided cadet (Horse Riding) to participate in Republic Day Parade at New Delhi on 28th January, 2019 and 2020.He became the 1st cadet of PAU to Participate in Republic Day Parade and won prizes in horse riding other than veterinary (previously). He has Lead the RVC mounted contingent, with national flag in National Republic Day Parade 2020. He won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Horse Riding competition in 2019 and 2020 at national and state level. Started NCC for Girls cadet at PAU and guided and motivated girl cadets to Horse Riding. He further guided cadets to join NCC Air wing.
