The College of Community Science, PAU has fabricated a new Centre for Alumni Relations named as ‘AlmaConnect’ to strengthen alumni engagement and institutional connection. The facility was formally inaugurated by the worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal on February 4, 2026. Dr Gosal congratulated the faculty and staff of the College for creating this amenity and said that the establishment of ‘AlmaConnect’ marks a significant step towards fostering lifelong alumni relations and promoting meaningful collaboration between alumni and the University.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Registrar, Dr Rishi Pal Singh; Dean, Post Graduate Studies, Dr M.I.S. Gill; Director Students’ Welfare, Dr Nirmal Jaura; Associate Director (Institution Relations), Dr Vishal Bector, and University Librarian, Dr Yogita Sharma.
The dignitaries were welcomed by Dean, COCS, Dr Kiran Bains, along with the Head of Departments and faculty members. On the occasion, it was also shared that the College of Community Science, PAU, will be organizing its ‘Diamond Jubilee Alumni Meet’ on February 6, 2026 expecting hundreds of alumni from India and abroad.

ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ. ਦੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਟੀ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਲਮਾਕੁਨੈਕਟ ਨਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਇਕ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ| ਇਸ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦਾ ਮੰਤਵ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ| ਅੱਜ ਇਸਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ. ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਡਾ. ਸਤਿਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਸਲ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ| ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡਾ. ਗੋਸਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ. ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ| ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਲਈ ਖਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ| ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਨੇੜਿਉਂ ਜੁੜ ਸਕਣਗੇ|
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਡਾ. ਕਿਰਨ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦੇਸ਼-ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਮੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ| ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ. ਦਾ ਕਮਿਊਨਟੀ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਉਂਦੀ 6 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਡਾਇਮੰਡ ਜੁਬਲੀ ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਮੀਟ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਸ਼-ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ|
ਇਸ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਡਾ. ਰਿਸ਼ੀਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡੀਨ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਡਾ. ਮਾਨਵਇੰਦਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ, ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਡਾ. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੌੜਾ, ਡਾ. ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਬੈਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਡਾ. ਯੋਗਿਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ|
