Dr. Amina Raheja is a scientist with expertise in sensor technology and irrigation water management, focusing on the integration of IoT and AI in precision agriculture. Her research emphasizes sensor-based monitoring systems and micro-irrigation scheduling to enhance agricultural efficiency. She is currently the Principal Investigator of the ICAR-funded CRP on Precision Farming and Micro Irrigation Systems, and has served as Co-PI on several prestigious projects supported by National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) and the Tandrust Mission, Punjab. Dr. Raheja has also contributed to academic training, organizing a Winter School as Course Coordinator on “Artificial Intelligence for Water Resource Management,” sponsored by ICAR. A recipient of a postgraduate scholarship, she was awarded a two-month international training at the University of Florida in early 2022. With 12 publications in refereed journals, her on-going research is dedicated to managing microclimates in fruit and vegetable cultivation to mitigate heat stress using sensor-based technologies.
