1. Orbital shaker
An orbital shaker agitates gently and consistently the liquid samples in circular motion thereby providing thorough mixing and aeration. It’s used in a variety of applications, including cell culture, microbial cultivation, chemical reactions etc.
2. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) is involved in identification and quantification of thermally stable and volatile compounds in various crops.
3. Thermal Cycler is used for amplification of certain DNA sequences through the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
4. Kjeldahl instrument is used to ascertain the nitrogen content, and consequently, the protein content, of a sample. It employs the Kjeldahl method, which consists of digestion, distillation, and titration processes.
4. Phase contrast microscope:– It enhances the visibility of transparent specimens such as live cells by converting invisible phase shifts in light into visible brightness changes. It is ideal for monitoring the growth of live cells without the need for damaging stains.
