Brief Introduction

Dr. Ashoo Toor joined as an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages & Culture, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, on 01.12.2011. Previously she worked as an Assistant Professor in Guru Nanak Girls College, Ludhiana, from 01.08.1996 to 30.11.2011

She graduated with English Honours from Panjab University, Chandigarh (1992); did her Masters in English Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh (1994); and her Doctorate in English Literature from Punjabi University, Patiala (2010). Her field of specialization is Postfeminist, Ecofeminist and Gender Studies. She has authored 06 Books, 04 Biographies; edited 02 Books, 04 Teaching Manuals and 30 Bulletins. She is also engaged in Editing/Compiling University Annual Reports, Accreditation Reports, Convocation Reports, Prospectus, etc.

Dr. Ashoo Toor has published 62 research papers in Journals of National and International repute, 32 Book Chapters and has presented Research Papers in 18 International and 31 National Seminars and Conferences. She is also on the Editorial/Advisory Board of two Peer Reviewed/ Refereed Journals on English Language and Literature. She is the President, University Speakers’ Forum, PAU; Editor, PAU Newsletter; Editor, PAU Handbook of Agriculture; and has also served as President, Dance, Drama, Music Club of College of Basic Sciences & Humanities, PAU; as well as Editor, English Section of the PAU Magazine.
