Brief Introduction

Dr Balpreet Kaur Kang joined as an Assistant Residue Analyst at Department of Entomology, PAU, Ludhiana in 1995 after completing BSc and M.Sc (Hons.) Zoology and Ph.D (Entomology) in 1993. From the year 2001-2016, Teaching was her first priority area of work followed by research and extension. She taught various undergraduate, elective and post graduate courses. She joined as Principal Entomologist (Insect Toxicology), Department of Entomology, PAU, Ludhiana in 2016 (till date). Her field of specialization is Insect Toxicology. She has completed two research projects funded by NHM and ICAR as PI in the year 2020 and 2021. She has guided 8 M.Sc and 4 Ph.D students as major advisor and published 81 research papers in national and international journals.

  2. Monitoring of Pesticides Residues in fruits from different markets of Punjab funded by National Horticulture Mission (NHM) during the year 2020 as PI
