Brief Introduction

Dr. Babita Kumar joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 23.10.1998 after completing BSc. (Medical) from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1991 and was awarded Roll of Honor for standing second in the university.. She did MBA (Marketing Management) from PAU in 1993 and PhD (Business Administration) from GNDU, Amritsar in 2002. She has worked with Trident Group as Manager (Exports) from 1993- 1997. She joined as Associate Professor on 23.10.2007 and Professor on 23.10.2013 (till date). She held the additional charge of Warden Girls Hostel from 16.8.2010-16.8.2013. Her field of specialization is Marketing Management. She has completed one project funded by Ministry of Agriculture, GOI in 2012 as PI, one by UGC as PI in 2013 and two projects funded by  NABARD as Co-PI in 2021 and 2022.She has guided 101 MBA and MBA(AB) students and 4 PhD students as major advisor, 220 MBA and MBA(AB), 44 PhD  students as advisory committee member. She has published 110 research papers in national and international journals,10 Book chapters, 7 compendium papers and presented 50 papers in national and international conferences. She has delivered 150 lectures to guide farmers and entrepreneurs in marketing, export and project management. Presently she is the Dean’s nominee for BSc Hons (Agribusiness Management), chairperson of the research committee of School of Business Studies and treasurer of Association of Basic sciences and Humanities Alumni (ABHA). She is a member of Ludhiana Management Association (Chapter AIMA).
