Brief Introduction

Dr. Gagandeep Kaur joined the Department of Fruit Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana as Assistant Professor (Horticulture) in 2008. She was promoted to Senior Fruit Scientist in 2020 (till date). She completed her B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2001, M.Sc. Pomology from College of Agriculture, PAU in 2003, and Ph.D. Pomology from PAU in 2007.

Her field of specialization includes crop improvement and varietal evaluation of grapes, guava and bael, quality improvement, and production technology of Cape gooseberry. She has led and contributed to multiple externally funded research projects and demonstrations on eco-friendly technologies and weed management in grapes and guava. She has published extensively in national and international journals on fruit science, agronomy and horticulture, with research interests spanning crop phenology, storage, quality enhancement, and technology transfer.
