Profile 

Dr Gaganpreet Kaur joined as Assistant Professor (Sociology) in Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana  in 2019. She did her PhD in Sociology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Her field of specialization is  Gender Studies, gerontology and Rural sociology. She is working in teaching Scheme in the department. She published 18 research papers in International/National repute. She published 4 book chapters in National repute books. She delivered 7 oral presentations in various International/National Conferences. She has delivered many lectures to rural women, youth , entrepreneurs for their empowerment. She is a life time member of Indian Sociological Society and NWISA.

●     She is a member of Society for Advancement of Academics, Sports and Cultural   

       Activities (SAASCA)

●     She is also member of Gender equality committee constituted at University level.

 ●     She is handling component of “Strengthening and Development of Higher Education in 

         India” ICAR-1, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Department of Economics and    Sociology. 

●    She is currently serving as Joint Treasurer in Indian Society for Agricultural 

       Development and Policy, Ludhiana(ISADP).

●     She was member in anti ragging committee, COBSandH.
