Dr. (Mrs.) Gulab Pandove holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. She began her career in 2014 as a Microbiologist (Soil Science) at the Regional Research Station, Bathinda, and currently serves at the School of Organic Farming, PAU. She had received the UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Women (2011–12) and the prestigious Jawaharlal  Nehru Award by ICAR. Her accolades also include a Gold Medal for Academic Excellence from SAASCA and NET qualification from ASRB. Dr. Pandove has developed several technologies, including bacterial biofertilizer recommendations, functional fermented beverages, and microbiological testing kits. She was granted an Indian Patent for developing a Bacteriological Water Testing Kit to detect waterborne pathogens. She has submitted 25 bacterial gene sequences to NCBI. Dr. Pandove has published 64 research papers, 10 review articles, and 3 book chapters in reputed journals. She has submitted 25 novel bacterial gene sequences to the NCBI database. She has guided 7 M.Sc. and 2 Ph.D. students and is currently mentoring 3 more. Her contributions to extension include 18 popular articles, 70 extension lectures, and three radio talks. She is also actively involved in teaching microbiology courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

1. Patent Granted for “METHOD FOR WATER TESTING AND WATER TESTING KIT’ on 13^th June,2022 (Patent no.:399015, Application No.: 3796/DEL/2011).
2. Awarded “Jawaharlal Nehru Award for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Research in Agricultural and Allied Sciences” by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi in field of “Natural Resource Management”.
3. Awarded Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2011-12 for the Project entitled “Appraisal of Microbiological Quality of Food and Development of Rapid Food Testing Kit for Public Health Significance” by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India.
4. Awarded Gold Medal in Academics for the year 2011 by SAASCA (Society for Advancement of Academics, Sports and Cultural Activities), College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, PAU, Ludhiana, Punjab.
5. Qualified Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB)-ICAR National Eligibility Test (NET) in the discipline of Agricultural Microbiology.
6. Merit Certificate for standing fifth (5^th) in the Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab (B.Sc. Medical 3^rd year).
