Brief Introduction

Dr. Gurnaz Singh Gill joined Punjab Agricultural University in 2018, serving as Assistant Professor (PFE) at KVK Nawanshahr and KVK Patiala, before joining as Scientist in the Department of Processing and Food Engineering in 2023. He holds a B.Tech. (AE), M.Tech., and Ph.D. (PFE) from PAU. His key achievement includes establishing common incubation centre for processing fruits, oilseeds, and spices at KVK Patiala under PMFME scheme (Rs 345 lakhs, MOFPI). He worked extensively on development of solar hybrid dryer for turmeric, individual quick freezing of horticultural produce, and is pursuing 3-D food printing for personalised and sustainable food products. He oversees production at the PAU Jaggery Processing Plant and PAU Agro Processing Complex, and serves as DDMC President for CAET. He published many research papers, articles, book chapters, and received recognitions including a Merit Fellowship, College Colour, and appreciation letters for contributions in crop residue management and cultural activities.
