Brief Introduction

Dr. Harshneet Singh Sran did B.Sc Agri (Hons) in 2010, M.Sc (Soil Science) in 2013 and Ph.D (Soil Science) in 2017 from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Ludhiana. He has joined university services in 2017, as Assistant Professor (Soil Science) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ludhiana (Samrala). Presently he is working as Soil Chemist (since Feb., 2025), in the scheme “All India Coordinated Scheme for investigation on correlation of soil test with crop response and self-employed rural soil health workers programme”. He has conducted more than thousand Frontline Demonstrations (FLDs), 95 method demonstrations and 58 adaptive research trials. He has also played a role in testing two innovative technologies recommended by PAU for farmers in Punjab. He has actively engaged with farmers by organising/assisted in organising 68 field days, 15 kisan melas, 143 kisan gosthis/camps and 27 exposure visits for farmers, in addition to delivering 219 lectures and participating in 90 exhibitions. His contributions to agriculture extension literature include 9 book chapters, 22 popular articles, 4 extension bulletins, 17 extension articles, along with 9 TV/radio talks to disseminate scientific knowledge.
