Brief Introduction

Dr Harsimranjeet Kaur Mavi joined as District Extension Specialist (Farm Management), Farm Advisory Service Scheme, Roopnagar in the year 2014. Afterwards, she worked as Assistant Professor (Farm Management) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Budh Singh Wala, Moga (2014 to 2017) and District Extension Specialist (Farm Management), Farm Advisory Service Scheme, Ferozepur (2017 to 2019). Currently, she is working as Scientist (Agricultural Marketing) (2019 to till date) under the scheme, “Strengthening of Agricultural Marketing Research in the Department of Economics and Sociology”. Her field of specialization is Farm Management. She has completed one project entitled, “Creating Innovation Clusters based on Regionally Adapted Cutting Edge Technologies in Aspirational District Moga of Punjab under “Setting up of Rural Transformation Clusters or Rural Demonstration Centre in Aspirational Districts” as Co-PI funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and technology, Government of India, New Delhi. She has guided two M.Sc. students as major advisor and currently guiding one M.Sc. and two Ph.D. students. She has published 18 research articles, 55 extension articles, 6 extension folders, 6 book chapters, 1 extension bulletin and 3 success stories of farmers in PAU publications. She has delivered 95 lectures to guide farmers about record keeping, optimum utilisation of resources, FPO formation, marketing of their produce, subsidiary occupation, etc. Presently, she is co-convener of Extension Committee of Department of Economics and Sociology. She is a member of the editorial team of the Indian Society for Agricultural Development and Policy.
