Dr Inderpal Singh joined PAU as Assistant Entomologist on19.01.1996 after
completing B.Sc. Agric (Hons.) and M. Sc. (Entomology) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 1989 and 1992. He did his PhD (Entomology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2007. He had worked as Assistant Entomologist at RRS, Ropar (19.01.1996-25.04.1996) and RRS Faridkot (26.04.1996- 07.05.2001) . He joined as associate Professor on 21.05.2008, Professor of Entomologyt on 21.07.2014 as Principal Entomologist (till date). His field of specialization is Integrated Pest Management of pulses. Presently he is handling two industry funded projects on management of insect pests of pulse crops. He has completed three projects funded by DST as PI in 2015, 2022 and 2023. Presently, he is handling one research project funded by DBT and two research projects funded by SERB, New Delhi. He is awarded with G S Khush Team Award for Dissemination of IPM Technology by G S Khush Foundation. He also got Appreciation Certificate from Vice Chancellor, PAU, Ludhiana for development and dissemination of IPM Technology for whitefly management in Punjab. He has guided 8 M.Sc. and 2 Ph.D. students as major advisor, published many research papers in national and international journals. . He has delivered many lectures to guide Mushroom growers, agriculture development officers.
