Brief Introduction

Dr. Iqbal Singh has been with Punjab Agricultural University since March, 2009. He joined Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sangrur as Assistant Professor (Agri. Engg.) in 2009 and later joined the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering in 2013, where he is currently serving as Scientist. His research focusses on torrefaction of biomass for high energy density, Solar thermal energy utilization for value addition of food products, bio-digested slurry management of biogas plants and dissemination of renewable energy technologies. Dr. Iqbal has handled ICAR-funded one project as PI and 10 research projects as Co-PI. He has published more than 25 research papers, 4 conference papers, and 2 extension articles, with 2 oral and 02 poster presentations at national and international conferences. He has guided 02 M.Tech. students, and taught 06 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate courses. He also serves as a technical reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and external examiner for Renewable energy courses.
