Dr. Jagdish Kaur, an accomplished academic and administrator, currently serves as Professor of Punjabi and Chairperson of the Dr. Surjit Patar Chair at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), where she has held various leadership roles including Head of the Department of AJL&C, Additional Director Communication (ADC), and Chief Editor of the PAU Magazine. With a rich academic background—holding B.A. (Hons.), M.A. (Hons.), M.Phil., Ph.D., and UGC-NET—she has made significant contributions to Punjabi literature, culture, and folklore through her authorship of six books, seven edited volumes, one translation book and over 15 research publications. She led a major UGC-funded project on the Creation of Modern Cultural Infrastructure of Punjab : Role of Dr. M.S. Randhawa, established the Museum of Green Revolution at PAU, and launched KhetiSandesh, a digital newsletter for Punjabi farmers. A recipient of prestigious fellowships from IIAS Shimla and the Ministry of Culture, she is also an executive member of the Punjab Arts Council, Chandigarh (2021–2024) and a life member of Punjab Linguistics Association, Patiala and Punjabi SahitAcademi, Ludhiana.
