Dr. Jaspreet Kaur joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 12.11.2020 after completing her BSc Hons. in Biotechnology from Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana in 2012, M.Sc (Microbiology) from PAU in 2014 and PhD (Microbiology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2019. She has worked with Department of Dairy Microbiology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India as Junior Research fellow from 09.08.2019 to 29.09.2020. She joined as joined as Mycologist (Mushroom) on 23.12.2020 to (till date). Her field of specialization is Mushroom cultivation and technology particularly focusing on value addition of mushroom through bacterial fermentation, utilization of agricultural waste through diverse macro-fungi. She has guided 3 M.Sc students and presently guiding 3 M.Sc and 1 Ph.D students as major advisor, published 25 research papers in national and international journals and presented 17 papers in national and international conferences. She has delivered over 35 lectures to guide farmers and entrepreneurs on mushroom cultivation, its post-harvest management and nutritional value. Presently she is the member of the teaching committee of Department of Microbiology, CoBSH.
