Brief Introduction

Dr. Kirandeep joined Punjab Agricultural University as Assistant professor (AE) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on 14.08.2019. She completed her B.tech (AgrilEngg) in 2012, M.Tech (Proc & Food Engg) in 2014 and PhD (Proc & Food Engg) in 2018 from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She has joined as scientist in the department of Processing and Food Engineering in March 2025. During her tenure in KVK she has worked under the project promotion of agricultural mechanization for in-situ management of crop residue in the district SBS Nagar and was awarded certificate of appreciation for the outstanding contribution towards crop residue management in the district. She has also worked in the areas of development of extruded products from mosambi waste during her master’s degree and worked on active modified atmosphere packaging and smart  packaging for shelf life extension of fresh produce during her PhD. She has published 13 research papers in reputed journals, 5 extension articles, 2 chapters in compendium and 5 chapters in international books.
