Dr.L.K. Dhaliwal joined in the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, PAU as Assistant Professor on 22.11.1993. Her field of specialization is crop-weather-pest relationships and microclimate modification. She has published 100+ research papers in national and international journals and 50+ popular articles in different newspapers/magazines. She has published two books – Encyclopedia of Agricultural Meteorology and Coffee Table Book on Climate Change and Agriculture (PAU Publication) and four practical manuals for Agromet. PG courses. She has completed several research projects funded by DST , UGC, MOEFCC and Punjab Government. She has two recommendations in PAU Package of Practices on Mulching in Net House. From research studies, she has developed models on mustard aphid, brown plant hopper of rice crop, brown spot disease of rice, Alternaria blight, white rust, Karnal bunt of wheat etc. and also developed Agromet Wheat App under Punjab conditions. She has worked on climate change effects on livestock and also involved in Livestock Insurance Scheme developed by GADVASU, Ludhiana. She has published 10 booklets on climate change effects on livestock for farmers. She has attended several trainings in Agricultural Meteorology. She has attended International Training Programme on Agricultural Meteorology sponsored by WMO, MASHAV and IMS held in Israel during 2003. Attended International Workshop on Fostering a Cooperative Approach to Water, held at Jordan from June 9-12, 2015.
