Dr. Lavjit Kaur joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 16.03.2020 after completing BSc. (Hons.) Home Science from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2010 and M.Sc. (Sociology) from PAU in 2013. She did her Ph.D (Sociology) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2018. She has worked as Assistant Professor (Sociology) in Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda from 2019- February, 2020. She joined as Assistant Professor on 16.03.2020 (till date). Her field of specialization is Rural Sociology. She has completed one project funded by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana as Co-PI in 2024. She has published 28 research papers in national and international journals, 2 book chapters, 1 extension article and presented 10 papers in national and international conferences. Presently, she is guiding one M.Sc. in the field of Sociology. She has experience of teaching various courses related to Sociology. She is a life time member of Indian Sociological Society and NWISA.
